The word "Sayang" originates in the Malayan language and means "love and care", and applies to parents, friends, land and things. This Malayan culture is passed on by each generation on Koh Lanta Island. From this word "Sayang", we started to build Sayang Beach Bungalows, a small scale bungalow resort, which is operated by our family members with warmth and care, the same way we treat each other in our local family on Koh Lantayai Island. Our small islander family wants to give "Sayang" to all guests, the same way as our parents gave to us.

The Sayang Beach Resort sits quiet and peaceful under towering coconut trees on the edge of the best stretch of Lanta Long Beach, the nicest beach on Kolanta Island and more than 3 kilometres long.

Pha-ae Beach of Koh Lanta Yai Island is in front of Sayang Beach Bungalows and consists of white powdery sand and the crystal-clear water of the Andaman Sea is perfect for swimming at low and high tides. It is also a very deserted beach day and night.


Sayang Beach Resort has 30 bungalows in 5 different types to suit all budgets. All Sayang Bungalows are naturally designed by using tropical wood and traditional eastern fabrics. The rooms at Sayang Resort are airy and bright with high ceilings and very clean. Depending on the room type, facilities include a covered porch and chairs, air-conditioning, fan, fridge, TV, and western-style bathrooms with hot showers.

The Sayang Resort's wooden-built restaurant offers the view to the Andaman Ocean and serves fresh and tasty food that is reasonably priced. A beach-front bar on Pha Ae Beach and Thai massage service are also available.

Sayang Beach Bungalows Koh Lanta are run by a local family from Koh Lanta Island with the warmth of Thai hospitality and a friendly atmosphere. The staff is very helpful with all the personal touches you would expect from your beach holiday resort - a wonderful tropical natural resort.

We do not accept reservations for such resorts and recommend to choose another resort for your stay.
